Under The Sea

Two hundred children at Maxey Arts Magnet Elementary designed and painted neon sea creatures for a black-light community exhibit in Winter Garden. Visitors to this immersive experience were visually transported to an underwater world filled with fish, sea turtles, jellyfish, stingrays, and starfish. Children who created the art were invited to a special reception for their family and friends at SoBo Gallery in Winter Garden, Florida. Maxey Arts Magnet Elementary is a Title 1 school. Nearly all Maxey Elementary students are minority and low income.
